Changelog
Dated record of meaningful changes to the calculators, methodology, data, and site. Entries below describe recorded project history; open items are not completed releases.
Recorded changes
2026-10-15: Version 0.2 release
- Heat-pump model v0.2: input validation added. Invalid or impossible values now produce a clear error rather than Infinity, NaN, or a silently omitted cost. Formulas are unchanged from v0.1.
- Default-data schema v2 records a value, unit, source URL, retrieval date, and verification status for each calculator default. Unknown sources and dates remain null; the current values are unverified.
- Solar panel cost calculator added with cautious, typical, and optimistic scenarios, a cumulative-position chart, and a year-by-year table.
- Educational article “How a heat pump works” added with cited US government publications.
- Trust pages, RSS, region selection, and updated calculator URL validation added; internal navigation and Open Graph images were corrected.
2026-10-15: Google Analytics integration
- The shared layout was configured to load Google Analytics with Measurement ID G-PGXZR145JR. This third-party processing is described in the Privacy policy. The current layout normalizes analytics page-location and referrer values to omit query strings and fragments.
2026-10-14: Version 0.1 baseline
- Initial site design system, shared layout, homepage, and US heat-pump calculator model v0.1.
